Challenges
Hi.Res.Cam's internal team built its AWS infrastructure using a wide variety of AWS cloud services, resulting in a complex setup that required careful management and integration. To ensure optimal security and efficiency, Hi.Res.Cam was now seeking external validation and certification of their AWS infrastructure. The company needed to identify any weak points in their setup, align with AWS best practices, and improve their overall infrastructure performance.
Solution
Ankercloud conducted a Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR) of Hi.Res.Cam's AWS infrastructure. The review evaluated Hi.Res.Cam's setup based on all AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars, including Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency, Security, Cost Optimization, Reliability, and Sustainability. Special attention was given to Security, highlighting all the High-Risk Issues (HRIs) with the highest priority.
Ankercloud then took action to remediate the HRIs and provide guidance on overall infrastructure improvement. Complete reports were generated, covering all AWS best practices and certifying the results achieved. Throughout the process, Hi.Res.Cam worked closely with Ankercloud to ensure that their AWS infrastructure aligned with the Well-Architected Framework's pillars and achieved optimal performance and reliability.
Business Outcome
After implementing the recommendations from the Well-Architected Framework Review, Hi.Res.Cam was able to achieve a state-of-the-art AWS infrastructure with improved security and optimized costs. In the first month after the review, the company was able to achieve a 30% reduction in costs.
The whole process has been documented and final report containing the evaluation of the infrastructure status across all the six Well-Architected Framework Pillars was created, to give clear visibility on the aligment between the implemented settings and the AWS best practices. The final report can be shared with any intersted stakeholder or potential investor.
Hi.Res.Caam is now well-prepared for any future changes or migrations, with a solid and secure infrastracture in place ready to be integrated with new services.
